The AIPA lab is active on various research topics that falls under the umbrella of Artificial Intelligence, with particular focus on Machine Learning, Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, and data Security and Privacy. Nowadays the very large amount of digital data made available, allow to extract knowledge that can be exploited in the solution of a large numebr of pactical problems. The data comes from many different sources, and are not always well structured, and this brings to the application of methods coming from AI to very different fileds, ranging from text analysis (both in natural and formal languages), to image analysis. The problem of security and data privacy rises naturally for all these applications.
